CHECKING IT OUT
DONNIE CANT WAIT TO GET STUCK IN
We received a huge donation of food from Lilys Kitchen. This consisted of lots of tinned wet food, dry food for both adult dogs and puppies. A lot of our dogs especially staffs are on a grain free diet. This is ideal as they are prone to have skin conditions. This donation is really appreciated and we cant thank all those at Lilys Kitchen enough.
HOPE FOR HOLLY ☘️☘️
£566 raised so far😊 £800 is the target 🐶❤️
Good news they are going to operate on Tuesday morning as long as her chest is ok on the day it will go ahead . Vet said it will be a complicated operation . It’s spread to her rectum and they won’t know if other organs until they operate on her . But she’s got a chance . The cost of the operation , treatment and aftercare should be around £800 maximum . We have started her jabs today and hope she gets the chance she deserves . ❤️🍀
We have just taken in this poor female Labrador from Hambleton Area as a stray 17/11/16. The warden was expecting to come for her on her 7th day to take her to be put to sleep on their vets advice . She has a large tumour as you can see from the photos . We have seen this before with Pebbles and it was successfully operated on. Pebbles was then adopted and is very happy in her forever home . We would like to give Holly this chance too . She’s going to the vets today that performed Pebbles op and we hope to have an idea of the costs , prognosis this afternoon .
If anyone would like to help us pay for this operation and treatment we would be very grateful . We couldn’t have done it without the support of so many kind and generous people for Pebbles. Here’s hoping we can do the same for Holly . Despite the tumour she’s very sweet , wriggly and wouldn’t keep still so I could take a good photo . She’s just so friendly and looks like she still has so much life in her . Let’s give her this chance ☘️☘️☘️☘️

A THANK YOU TO OUR FRIENDS
We would like to say a HUGE thank you to the dedicated and continued support of a wonderful group of people called Friends Of Maxi’s.
They provide us with essential items needed for kennels like sawdust, shavings, cleaning materials and so much more. They also very kindly donated £500 towards the CCTV security system we have just had installed. We are very grateful for their support and also everyone that bids or donates on their auctions.
Maxi’s Mates rely on these donations and the kindness of so many people. We couldn’t continue without it. With Friends of Maxi’s help and that of our lovely members we can make sure all the dogs in our care are looked after in the best way possible until they are adopted.
Maxi’s Mates have a very exciting project coming up soon in conjunction with Friends Of Maxi’s so please watch out for more information soon.

We are now open EVERYDAY from 1 pm to 4 pm for viewing the dogs. Could we please ask that people stick to these times as mornings are very busy with cleaning the kennels, vet runs and getting organised etc. If you need to visit the dogs outside of the set hours please can you inbox and we can make an appointment for you. Donations can still be dropped off outside the hours as we will have a donation bin for bedding, food etc just at the gate. We appreciate your co-operation and kind support.
We would like to thank Sarah & Wendy from Auctions for Rescued Animals for raising £260. They very kindly donated the money raised from their last auction to Maxi’s Mates. Thank you both so much.

Also Howard Peel donated his birthday money to Maxi’s Mates and gave £100 today at kennels. Such a lovely thing to do and extremely kind.
We are all very grateful for these donations and support shown by so many people on this page. This means we can continue to care for all the dogs in our care and the future ones that will be.
