We at Maxi’s Mates would like to give a huge thank you to the Durham Tees Valley Community rehabilitation Company for their invaluable help these last few months . We couldn’t have completed the new paddocks without the hard work from Dave Smallwood and his fantastic team of lads . They are all almost complete now and will make a huge difference to the well being of the dogs in our care . We would also like to thank Chris Douglas so much for allowing them to be at Maxi’s Mates and hope they will be able to keep coming back to us .
The team have never stopped working, have also cleared land, painted kennels, cut down the grass verges and even filling in the pot holes on the road. We are all very grateful to you all .
They are also the company that donated their own old mini bus last winter so they have been really supportive enabling us to help the stray dogs throughout the Redcar and Cleveland area .
We have had a cheque handed over to us from the Newport Primary School this morning of £520. They have been raising money for us for a few months and so far raised a magnificent £520. It’s a fantastic amount and we would like to thank the children and staff so very much for all their hard work .
Still more to come as we are their chosen charity until Easter next year .
We are so pleased to receive £637.02 from Dawn Chapman today . This fantastic amount was raised at the Bichon Frise meet up last Sunday 28th May 2017 . Thank you to her and all those that helped organise the event and of course all the lovely people and dogs that attended.

CHECKING IT OUT
DONNIE CANT WAIT TO GET STUCK IN
We received a huge donation of food from Lilys Kitchen. This consisted of lots of tinned wet food, dry food for both adult dogs and puppies. A lot of our dogs especially staffs are on a grain free diet. This is ideal as they are prone to have skin conditions. This donation is really appreciated and we cant thank all those at Lilys Kitchen enough.
HOPE FOR HOLLY ☘️☘️
£566 raised so far😊 £800 is the target 🐶❤️
Good news they are going to operate on Tuesday morning as long as her chest is ok on the day it will go ahead . Vet said it will be a complicated operation . It’s spread to her rectum and they won’t know if other organs until they operate on her . But she’s got a chance . The cost of the operation , treatment and aftercare should be around £800 maximum . We have started her jabs today and hope she gets the chance she deserves . ❤️🍀
We have just taken in this poor female Labrador from Hambleton Area as a stray 17/11/16. The warden was expecting to come for her on her 7th day to take her to be put to sleep on their vets advice . She has a large tumour as you can see from the photos . We have seen this before with Pebbles and it was successfully operated on. Pebbles was then adopted and is very happy in her forever home . We would like to give Holly this chance too . She’s going to the vets today that performed Pebbles op and we hope to have an idea of the costs , prognosis this afternoon .
If anyone would like to help us pay for this operation and treatment we would be very grateful . We couldn’t have done it without the support of so many kind and generous people for Pebbles. Here’s hoping we can do the same for Holly . Despite the tumour she’s very sweet , wriggly and wouldn’t keep still so I could take a good photo . She’s just so friendly and looks like she still has so much life in her . Let’s give her this chance ☘️☘️☘️☘️
