Thanks to the guys at AMM Waste Removal Services for taking all the rubbish we have accumulated over the last months.
Also for coming whenever we need them which is a great benefit to us.
Thank you so much for supporting Maxi’s Mates it means a lot.

Staff from Tesco Billingham came with loads of donations of food, beds, treats and toys. And also £100 donation.
They helped spread the word about us and what we do by making a leaflet for their customers and giving them out. It also asked if they would like to buy something in store or donate. They received £171 so spent £71 on beds, the rest they donated to funds.
Thanks to Ross, Emma, Megan, Alex, Chloe and all the staff and customers at Tesco.
It’s wonderful support from people like yourselves that allows us to keep helping the dogs.

We would like to say a HUGE thank you to Pets at homes charity Support Adoption For Pets for awarding Maxi’s a £5,000 grant to help towards running costs during the pandemic. They also arranged for a charity pallet of dry food to help us stay afloat. We are so very grateful to them. Support like this means the difference to us staying open and being able to care for dogs that need help.

Christmas day 2020

We would like to share our video edited by Hope Wray of the dogs on Christmas Day.
Thank you to all those people who donated to Maxi’s Mates at Christmas and throughout the whole of 2020.
Thank you to the staff and volunteers who gave up their time on Christmas Day and Boxing Day to make sure the dogs were all walked, fed and cared for as usual.
Thank you so much to the people that cooked all the food to make such a special meal for them. We had enough for both days. The dogs loved it.
Thank you to Santa who called by to give all the dogs an early present and also photographed by Hope Wray.
Again we can’t do what we do without the kindness of so many people. We are grateful and the dogs are so grateful as without it they wouldn’t have a home with us.
Let’s hope 2021 is better for everyone. Let’s hope 2021 sees more of our long termers adopted like Will. They deserve a home, they have been waiting for it for so long . Just needs someone to take a chance on them and allow them to fit in to their family . Rescue is the best thing ever.

We would like to say a very special thank you to John and Ste from Steron Locksmiths Ltd for their fantastic donation of £1000. It’s a wonderful amount and couldn’t have come at a better time. Thank you for supporting Maxi’s Mates, we are very grateful.

Rockliffe Hall Visit

A very big thank you Rockliffe Hall for picking Maxi’s Mates to be one of the charities chosen in their 12 days of giving campaign . The reception and concierge team brought up 30 fleece blankets food and toys with them.
Thank you all very much.

Tennis Ball donations

We would like to say thank you very much to Tennis World for donating a huge box of used tennis balls for our dogs to enjoy. Enzo is having fun in the paddock with one. We really appreciate it and the other people who have been donating balls to the recent plea for them by Karen Bingham. So many people are very kind.

Enzo’s happy

He’s had the operation. Was a lot of muscle damage which has all been repaired. He’s recovering very well and is ready to be picked up soon. Thank you all that helped make this possible. Will post some photos once he’s feeling better. 😊

This is from the vet.

Strider’s wound today.
Surgery was complex and took some time but I am happy with the level of closure gained and decontamination of the wound achieved. There is still a risk that complications could arise however these should be reduced now we have had a successful surgical repair.

We have had to come to the aid of a young lurcher who was found with a huge gash from shoulder to neck .

We made an appointment to take him to the vets as we had a call this morning saying a dog was in a bad way and looked like he was dying.

He’s at the vets now. He needs an operation today as it all needs cleaning, repairing and restitching . The wound is very deep . Estimated cost of the operation is £1312.

We just can’t afford that ourselves , we are feeling the effects of the Covid 19 and struggling to meet our monthly running costs as it is . But we couldn’t not try to help this dog otherwise he would have to be put to sleep .

We are hoping that people might help us and contribute towards the vet bill. Any amount even a £1 will help if lots donate.

Please help Maxi’s Mates to save this lads life
