THE FIRST STRAYS TAKEN IN BY MAXI’S MATES RESCUE & REHOMING CENTRE

The New Year started with a bang! Two strays collected by our volunteers and taken to kennels on 1/1/16. One an old staff with an eye defect and a little Shih Tzu. We took them to safety and thankfully they both were reunited with their owners the next day.

Four strays were reported to us on 2/2/16. Despite it being our moving day to our new kennels, the volunteers collected all four as soon as they were each reported and brought them straight back up to us.

One of these strays was a littler ginger terrier who had been missing since 19/12/15. When he came into kennels we instantly recognised him as the missing dog and contacted his owner. They were all reunited the next day and owner was so happy to have the little dog back.

We are happy to report that all six  of the found dogs are now back home.

It’s been a hectic weekend but its worth all the stress and worry when you know you have helped a scared confused lost dog find his way back home. That’s so rewarding knowing you have made a difference.
