PAWS FOR A CAUSE

At Maxi’s Mates Rescue & Rehoming Centre, our community is at the heart of everything we do. We’re incredibly grateful for the continued support from individuals, local businesses, and organisations who share our passion for helping stray and unwanted dogs across Redcar & Cleveland and the Hambleton areas.

Right now, we’re at full capacity, with over 50 dogs currently in our care. Your support means more than ever as we work tirelessly to provide them with the love, safety, and second chances they deserve.

10th Birthday Celebrations

The opening of our new long termer kennels thanks to the amazing 27 k grant given from Support Adoption For Pets.

Andy Preston kindly cut the ribbon and we thank him so much for all the support he’s given us over the years.

We also thank all the staff for all their hard work and the volunteers who we couldn’t do without for helping us care for our dogs day in day out.

Since we started in our own right on 1-1-16 and not as volunteers at Waterfall Kennels we have helped so many dogs.

  • Strays in 1168

  • Reunited 687

  • Adopted 481

Owner Surrenders 1019, which includes 110 puppies, have all been adopted.

The total figure adopted today is 1500.

We have 34 dogs in at the moment and 8 of these are our long termers 4 of which are sanctuary spaces which means they will stay with us and this is their home.

It’s so important to keep going and we couldn’t do without the fantastic support we get from all of you. Helping us fund raise , sending donations and direct debits to meet the monthly costs of running Maxi’s Mates.

Together we are making such a huge impact to the strays and unwanted dogs lives and giving them the safe place to stay until we find that right home they need. However long that takes but it will come one day.

Barclaycard Volunteer Days

We would like to say a big thank you to all the employees from Barclaycard who have been to kennels for the last week and a half on volunteer days.

Thank you Jed for coming to our dogs rescue again. The roof had several holes in and leaking quite badly after all the recent rain. We were so worried about the state of it as the heat lamps will be going on soon.

He’s a true dog lover and he has his best friend Lulu from Maxi’s Mates who kept an eye on things from her comfy seat in the van
